CLIENT STUDY -THE GODDESS EXPERIENCE - KA KI - PERTH PORTRAIT AND PERTH BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER
Ka Ki was the first Goddess in front of my camera.
Her photoshoot happened at the time I had just started defining what this Goddess experience should be. I knew that we would be creating images designed to show her essence/ her personality. Sides of her the world doesn’t normally see. My idea for the Goddess photoshoots seemed out of a desire to help women connect with their femininity and inner power. But everything else was based on the method I always use for portraits: Connection & Discovery/ Design, Concept and Moodboard / Photoshoot / Image selection.
Ka Ki and I met at her book launch, The Awakened Feminine. So she was the perfect person for a Goddess photoshoot. She already had a great connection with her feminine energies and has spent so much time interviewing other women about their journey of embracing their femininity.
By listening to Ka Ki’s story in her podcast and by reading her chapter in the book, I saw a fiery, bold and courageous woman. And I had a clear image of her Goddess, a vision. She had to be elegant, but also bold and confident. We went for the minimalist colours and bold contrasts. A simple trio of red/black and white. A fire Goddess.
